Wellness Seminar

Tuesday, November 17: Medicare Updates

2:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m.

Cost: Free; Registration required

DaVette Taylor-Harris of the Atlanta Regional Commission, through Georgia Cares, will provide a great seminar with the facts on Medicare, Medicare Part D, and other supplemental plans. She will try to answer the various questions you may have in regard to your Medicare benefits.

Wednesday, November 18: Smart & Safe Seniors

A presentation by Winkenhofer- Pine Ridge. Learn about fire and burn safety and well as how to protect yourself from home invasions.

Holiday Ornament Making

Cost: $5 Supply fee to instructor. Registration required.

Make an ornament for your tree or someone else's. Betty Vroman of our Sew and So's Club will teach you how to make a candle, Christmas tree, bell and more out of beads. Happy Holidays!

Get on the Bus, Gus Part 1

Public transit can save money and help maintain independence. Ron Roberts of Cobb County Transit will provide information on how to make use of public transportation and answer questions on using the system.

 

Get on the Bus, Gus Part 2
Thursday, December 10

8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Cost: On your own; Registration required.

We will actually get on the bus with Ron Roberts from CCT helping us every step of the way. Starting at the Marietta Transfer Station, we will learn how to purchase the fare and make transfers from the bus to the train, making our way to Lenox Square . Lunch is on your own at the mall.
