Harrah's Cherokee

Thursday, September 25

8:00a.m- 9:00p.m (Check-in 7:30a.m.)

It's time for our annual trip to Harrah's! Be sure to bring your luck and get ready to have big fun in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains . When you arrive, you will receive $5 in free coins and then enjoy an endless lunch buffet. Also remember to bring your Harrah's Rewards Card if you have one and a picture ID. We will make an early stop in the morning for a light breakfast and then in the evening for dinner on your own.

Cost: $50 Senior Council Member / $55 Non Member. Payment deadline: September 18. Price includes motor coach transportation, buffet lunch, $5 in coins, snack, tax and tips. No refunds after payment deadline date. Full refunds will be given if the trip is cancelled.

Metro Atlanta Places of Worship Tour II

Wednesday, October 15

9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (check in 8:30 a.m. Cobb Civic Center parking lot)

This trip is offered thru all five Multipurpose Centers . Back by popular demand! Once again we will explore some of Atlanta 's most beautiful places of worship. We'll all meet up at the Cobb Civic Center then go explore Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church. Following lunch at Mary Mac's we will learn about the history of the elegant St. Mark's United Methodist Church and Al-Farooq Masjid in Midtown Atlanta.

Cost: $65 Senior Council Member; $70 Non-Member. Payment deadline: Wednesday, October 1. Trip includes motor coach transportation, admission fees, lunch, snacks and tips. Full refunds will be given in the event of a trip cancellation.

Mercier Apple Orchard

8:30a.m.- 5:30p.m. (Check-in: 8:00a.m.)

It's apple pickin' time! For our annual trip, we will vist several apple orchards in the Ellijay area including Hillcrest Orchards and Mercier Orchards. We will have lunch in McCaysville at The Cider House Café, located on an eighteen-acre apple orchard and promises to have great home country cooking!

Cost: $44 Senior Council Member / $49 Non Member.  Payment deadline: October 10.  Price includes motor coach transportation, lunch, snack, tax and tips. No refunds after payment deadline date. Full refunds will be given if the trip is cancelled.

King Tut Exhibit

Thursday, November 20

10:30a.m.- 6:00p.m. (Check-in 10:00a.m)

Mark your calendars, because we will be seeing the great anticipated exhibit of King Tutankhamen and the Great Pharaohs at the Atlanta Civic Center ! Prior to this exhibit, we will visit the Michael Carlos Museum to view the Harry Burton Photographs and learn about the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamen. Lunch is on your own at the famous Varsity downtown. Don't miss out on this lifetime opportunity!

Cost: $66 Senior Council Member / $71 Non Member. Payment deadline: November 7. Price includes motor coach transportation, admission tickets, snack, tax and tips. No refunds after payment deadline date. Full refunds will be given if the trip is cancelled.

It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play

Wednesday, December 17

11:15a.m.- 5:30p.m. (Check-in 10:45a.m.)

To celebrate the holiday season, our day will begin with a holiday luncheon at City Grill. After lunch we will go to the Balzer Theater at Herren's to enjoy a live production of “It's a Wonderful Life”. This classic production will transform the stage into the nostalgic WBFR radio studios and bring the imaginary characters, sights and sounds of snowy Bedford Falls , NY to you.

Cost: $58 Senior Council Member / $63 Non Member. Payment deadline: December 5. Price includes motor coach transportation, lunch, theatre ticket, snack, tax and tips. No refunds after payment deadline date. Full refunds will be given if the trip is cancelled.
