Registration Required

Payment for each class is due in full at the time of registration. Classes may not be taken on a pay as you go basis. Class payments by check or money order should be made payable to Cobb Senior Services. Telephone and mail in registrations cannot be accepted. 

All class and supply fees must be paid at the time of registration.  Telephone registration will not be accepted for fee-based classes.  Please take note of class meeting times, some classes may have pre-designated breaks.

Monday

Focus on Fitness

9:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.

Ongoing

Cost: Free

These classes stress chair and floor exercises accompanied by music. Therabands are provided. Mat and weights required.

Beginner Oil Painting

Instructor: Joyce Tollison

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

July 7 – September 15

Cost: $55.00 Cobb resident /  $60.00 Non-resident

Enjoy oil painting on canvas while creating two paintings. Students must purchase all supplies on their own from provided list.

Tuesday

Yoga

Instructor: Archana Patel

8:45 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.

June 24 – September 9.

Cost: Cobb County resident: $36.00 / Non-resident $41.00

Learn the techniques of yoga & relaxation. Chairs will be used or if you prefer the floor, mats are needed.

Flex & Stretch

Instructor: Doris Norton

10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

July 8 – September 9

Cost: Free

This class teaches beginner stretching & flexibility exercises. Floor mats are needed.

Wednesday

Senior Fitness

Fitness class to improve and tone your body without straining. Wear comfortable clothing.

Beginner Line Dance

Instructor: Sylvia Irvin

11:45 a.m – 12:45 p.m

July 11 – September 19.

Cost: Cobb County resident: $30.00 / Non-resident $35.00

Have fun and exercise at the same time to country, soft-rock and pop music. For beginner dancers.

 

Intermediate Line Dance

Instructor: Sylvia Irvin

1:15 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.

July 11 – September 19.

Cost: Cobb County resident: $30.00 / Non-resident $35.00

Have fun and exercise at the same time to country, soft-rock and pop music. For advanced dancers. Beginner Line Dance prerequisite


CANCELLATION POLICY

Class cancellation for registered Seniors will be accepted prior to the class start date.  Cancellations made after this period may or may not be entitled to a full refund, and will be decided on an individual basis.  Any supply fees paid, may not be refunded.  Classes that are not held on a regular class meeting date due to inclement weather, holiday schedules, or instructor illness will be made up. 


INCLEMENT WEATHER

In the event of a severe storm or inclement weather, the Center will be closed in accordance with Cobb County School System media announcements.
