Registration Required

Payment for each class is due in full at the time of registration. Classes may not be taken on a pay as you go basis. Class payments by check or money order should be made payable to Cobb Senior Services. Telephone and mail in registrations cannot be accepted. 

All class and supply fees must be paid at the time of registration.  Telephone registration will not be accepted for fee-based classes.  Please take note of class meeting times, some classes may have pre-designated breaks.

Monday

Focus On Fitness

Instructor: Norma Osman and Nancy Hall

9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

Cost: Free

Ongoing (No class: September 1)

Feel good and ageless; stay fabulous forever! The motivating music will make you want to get up and join in the fun. Low impact aerobics in chair, safe and simple moves, with weights and thera-bands. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing.

 

Tuesday

Senior Strength Training

Instructor: Helen Brady

9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

Improvement of the upper body strength is possible, and it is never too late to start feeling and looking better! Low impact strength training. Great for beginners too! Bring your (light) weights and w ear comfortable shoes clothing.

Learn the basics of line dance and start off the right foot. Meet new people, get some exercise, and have a lot of fun!

 

Yoga-lates

Instructor: Linda Spencer

A gentle workout that blends the stretching and strengthening of Yoga with Pilates! Flexibility and balance, abdominal and back muscles will be put to test, topped off with
eep relaxation techniques. 
All levels welcome! Bring mat/towel; wear comfortable clothing.

 

Thursday

Advance Line Dance

Instructor: Charmaine Roberts

11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Cost: Free

July 10 – September 18

Experienced line dancers only. This is a great class for students who already have line dancing skills and want to build their endurance while learning new dances .

 

Friday

Yoga (Asanas)

Mild Yoga class to improve muscle tone and stamina, improve circulation, reduce stress and tension, and boost self-esteem. Bring mat/towel, wear comfortable clothing.


Cancellation Policy

Class cancellation for registered Seniors will be accepted prior to the class start date. Cancellations made after this period may or may not be entitled to a full refund, and will be decided on an individual basis.  Any supply fees paid, may not be refunded.  Classes that are not held on a regular class meeting date due to inclement weather holiday schedules, or instructor illness will be made up. 


INCLEMENT WEATHER

In the event of a severe storm or inclement weather, the Center will be closed in accordance with Cobb County School System media announcements.
