Cobb - Ongoing Events/Activities
*Classes do NOT include Computer Classes.

Since it's opening in March 1997in rural west Cobb County, West Cobb Senior Center has been a magnet for active seniors age 55 and better. The stacked stone facade and two story fireplace are reminiscent of the area's Civil War history. It's pastoral setting inside Lost Mountain Park belies the fury of activity within the lodge-like facility. The Center has the reputation for excellent programs, state of the art facilities and friendly and responsive customer service. An array of classes, clubs, daytrips and special events offer quality opportunities.
Our philosophy is to enrich the body, mind and spirit. We accomplish this
through wellness, dance, art and computer classes, and more. Our clubs
include Lost Mountain Golden Kiwanis, ADK Retired Teachers, and Cobb Govt.
Retired Employees. We also have clubs for photography, reading,
bridge, hiking, billiards, Mah Jongg, woodcarving, choral and golfing
enthusiasts. The day-trip programs have taken us from sights of state
history to festivals and theater. Special events have included Veterans
Day tributes, ballroom dancing with live bands, magic shows, fashion shows,
talent contests, Cobb County Senior Games and more.
Senior Services transportation is not provided, but adequate parking space is available at all Centers.
