Wicked

Thursday, October 30

12:30 p.m. – 6:30pm (Check-in 12:00pm)

We are not following the Yellow Brick Road, or hopping a ride on a twister, but we are taking I-75 to a matinee performance of Wicked at the Fox Theatre, not Oz! Long before that girl from Kansas arrives in Munchkinland, two girls meet in the land of Oz. One - born with emerald green skin - is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. How these two grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda, the Good Witch, makes for “the most completely satisfying new musical in a long time”

Metro Atlanta Places of Worship Tour II

Wednesday, October 15

9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (check in 8:30 a.m. Cobb Civic Center parking lot)

Back by popular demand! Once again we will explore some of Atlanta 's most beautiful places of worship. This trip is being offered at all Cobb Senior Service's Multipurpose Centers . We'll all meet up at the Cobb County Civic Center then go explore Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church. Following lunch at Mary Mac's we will learn about the history of the elegant St. Mark's United Methodist Church and Al-Farooq Masjid in Midtown Atlanta.

Cost: $65 Senior Council Members; $70 Non Council Members. Payment deadline: Wednesday, October 1. Trip includes motor coach transportation, admission fees, lunch snacks and tips. Full refunds will be given in the event of a trip cancellation .

The First Emperor's Terracotta Army

Wednesday, November 19

10:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Check-in 10:00 a.m.)

The First Emperor was one of the greatest rulers the world has ever known. Over 2000 years ago, he founded what was to become the nation of China. He also built an eternal empire underground in his tomb complex, guarded by a terracotta army. Join us in experiencing the 8th Wonder of the World! We will be having lunch at McCormick & Schmicks before our excursion to the High Museum of Art.

Cost: $57 Senior Council Members; $62 Non-Members. Payment deadline: October 1
